Q: Who comes to All Saints?
A: Anyone and everyone is more than welcome. All Saints’ has a very mixed congregation which comes together from a variety of backgrounds and traditions.

Q: How many people attend?
A: All Saints’ is a medium sized church with around 135 adults on the electoral roll.
On a Sunday Morning we have two services: approximately 12-18 attend the quiet 8.30am service, and around 50 adults and 15 children attend the main service. This can rise to over 100 if there’s a christening.
Our online service of Evening Prayer (by Zoom) attracts around 15 people.
Q: What happens at your services?
A: While there are specific things we do at special times of the year (like Christmas or Easter), all our services tend to include some or all of the following:
– We sing a variety of songs and hymns, from the contemporary to the traditional (led by our choir)
– We have a time of prayer
– We hear the Bible read to us, and then explained in a talk (lasting 15 – 30 minutes)
– We share Communion together (please check service information for which services this applies to)
– Church notices
After the 10:30 service we have refreshments together.

Q: How long are your services?
A: The 8.30am service lasts for approximately 30-40 mins.
A: The 10.30am service lasts for approximately 1 hr and 15 minutes.
Q: Do you collect money during your services?
A: At our morning services we have a plate available at the back of church and a card reader if you’d like to give electronically.
We encourage the church family to give regularly by direct debit using the Parish Giving Scheme. Regular giving using these methods really helps us to budget appropriately as we are entirely funded by gifts.
Q: Will I be asked to do anything in the service?
A: No, nothing to fear! Whilst a number of people from the congregation play an active role in our services, we want All Saints’ to be as safe and as unthreatening a place as possible, so you will never be asked to do anything you do not want to do.

Q: Can I bring my children?
A: Absolutely! Junior Church runs during term-time at the 10.30am service. The children are in at the beginning and go out after the first hymn/song.
All volunteers working with children have a current DBS (formerly CRB) certificate and we adhere to an up-to-date child protection policy.
We have two play areas within the church for babies and toddlers so parents can still be part of the service.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: There is no dress code. Come as you feel comfortable.
Q: Can I park at the Church?
A: Yes, we have the use of a car park on Church Lane.
Q: Do you have provision for the hard of hearing or partially sighted?
A: It is important to us that everyone feels welcome at All Saints’ and that our services and activities are as accessible as possible.
Service books with large print words are available on request on Sunday mornings.
For the hard of hearing we operate a loop system.

Q: How do I get involved?
A: There are all sorts of ways to get involved at All Saints, whether it is participating in a home group, or assisting in the various activities run by the church.
If you have an idea of what you would like to do, please have chat one of our welcome team about how you can get involved, or talk to one of the leadership and they’ll point you in the right direction.
If you are unsure about how to get involved, simply complete our welcome form, and a member of the church staff will follow up with you to discuss the options and work out what would be most appropriate.
